We are Bella and Gabby Adlah, co-founders of Hope in Every Beat.

Four years ago, our lives changed forever when Bella's health took a dramatic and unexpected turn. Over the course of several months, she lost the ability to eat, speak, see, and became paralyzed from the shoulders down. It was an incredibly difficult journey—but through intensive neurorehabilitation, determination, and unwavering support, Bella fought her way back to where she is today.

Throughout her recovery, one thing remained constant: dance was her light. Even when her body couldn’t move, her heart danced. Her therapists incorporated music and movement into her sessions every day, often with her sister, Gabby, by her side. Dance wasn’t just a pastime—it became a vital part of her healing.

As Bella continued to regain her strength, dance took on an even greater meaning. But looking back on her long stays in hospitals and rehab centers, she realized something was missing: while there were many forms of therapy and recreation available, dance was not one of them. That realization sparked a mission.

Together, we created Hope in Every Beat to bring the joy, freedom, and emotional release of dance into hospital and rehabilitation settings. For us, it’s not about perfect technique—it’s about movement, expression, finding peace, and letting go.

We’re a sister duo bonded not only by love and shared experience, but by a passion for using dance as a tool for healing. Sharing this journey together and bringing hope through movement to others is the most fulfilling thing we’ve ever done.
